BringaAkadémia Training for trainers in Romania
Thanks to Safe4Cycle project, 23-25 September 2016 a BringaAkadémia Training for trainers program was organized in Romania, Târgu Mureș.
The aim of the participating partners in Safe4Cycle project (a strategic partnership for cycling road safety education) is to set up a standard educational program with the connecting Mentors’ teaching material which could be used in the future in all the elementary schools. Within the frame of the project Tamás Abelovszky, program manager of BringaAkadémia had been invited to Romania to lead a Training for trainers program, in cooperation with the Romanian project partner, Fundaţia Comunitară Mureş (Mureş Community Foundation). The participants arrived from various regions of Romania (București, Iași, Galați, Cluj-Napoca, Miercurea Ciuc, Odorheiu Secuiesc, etc.), representing several cycling associations. The aim of the training is to prepare the participants for running cycling courses for children. During the four days of the training the participants were dealing with the following topics:
- Basic rules of road
- Get acquinted with the bicycle: parts of the bicycle, how to adjust a bicycle, failures of bicycles, etc.
- Practical cycling skills
- Cycle touring
After February 2015 this was the second Training for trainers program in Târgu Mureș that had been organized by the Romanian and the Hungarian partners (Mureş Community Foundation and Vuelta Sports Office).
